need help and suggestions in fixing the below issues, while remediating a host profile in 6.5u1 getting the below error, the host is (HP BL Gen8) recently did a fresh installation after mother board replacement.
"The vmbha device at PCI bus address s00000001.01 is not present on your host. You must shutdown and then insert a card into PCI slot 1. The type of card should exactly match the one in the reference host."
Please suggest any modifications needs to be done.
Attached a same host profile, where the other host matching a configuration specs and tried to remediate.
Hey all - have a new 7.4.0 HA environment setup for testing. I have a blueprint setup with a custom property "Hostname" and fill it out during the request... yet the VM is still deployed in vCenter with the machine prefix info. I can't figure out why it's ignoring this. Any thoughts?
We are facing PSOD issue on this Model and server is out of warranty and unable the find issue which hardware failure.
The below mentioned PSOD error message
PSOD Message:: LINT1/NMI (motherboard nonmaskable interrupt), diagnosed as fatal by module "hpe-nmi". This may be a hardware problem; please contact your hardware vendor.
I have checked the ILO : Integrated Management Log found the below error log

After i reinstall the ESXi , and my SSD can't load the filesystem to vmfs6 ,then i have made a lot of research to repair the filesystem to vmfs6 , but there are need to pay a huge money for a key. Also, i have already tested and passed by voma with 0 error , So , does anyone can help me to repair the filesystem to give me to access the files because i have a lot of important data on a single VM.

The problem is that if the input file has a column called VMName with no spaces AFTER the column title, everything works fine, but if there are spaces after the column title, it won't pick up the vmnames in the input file. Every time someone different creates the input file, they may add an extra space before or after the column title, and mess up the results.
How can I make the import-csv statement read the column titles even if there are spaces before or after the column title?
I have a script that I use to add/remove portgroup to a large set of VM's. I'm curious if there's a faster to get the list of VM's associated to a port group.
Right now, a command like this
Get-VM |Get-NetworkAdapter | Where {$_.NetworkName -eq "PortGroupName" }
Takes a long time as it is running for each VM.
When I log into VSphere, I see all the VM's under a portgroup right away, is there a better way through PowerCLI?
The question is recover point for storage replication whether we can replicate specific datastore luns with SRM combinations using current recoverpoint rather than whole vmware clusters.
Example: 4 lun allocated in vmware cluster and i want to replicate 2 luns only not all 4 luns so that my VM in 2 luns can be recovered on 2 nd site not all vms in the cluster. Would that be possible?
I have seen the below two lines in the SRM Best practices document, that makes me confuse.
Placeholder datastores must meet certain criteria.
■
For clusters, the placeholder datastores must be visible to all of the hosts in the cluster.
■
You cannot select replicated datastores as placeholder datastores.
Нужно переместить vm на другой датастор, дабы переделать текущий. Но стандартная процедура перемещения показывает ошибку.
Итак:
vCenter SA 6.7
хост VMware ESXi, 6.5.0, 5969303
Datastore1: VMFS 5.58 | Block size 8 MB
Datastore2: VMFS 6.81 | Block size 1 MB
При переносе выключенной vm ошибка: Error caused by file /vmfs/volumes/ххх/хххх.vmdk
При переносе включенной vm ошибка: Failed waiting for data. Error 195887107. Not found.
when i create a datastore can i add multiple disks in that datastore?can i expand later datastore adding new disk?vmfs is at datastore level and not at disk level.right?
is it possible to create a ressource pool that does not have any settings like restriktions or reservations? Just to have something like a container to put vms in it.
i want to write one powercli script, so that if i give date, time interval and hostname, then i need to get memory and cpu usage of particular host as output.
