Unable to run reports with a Standard license in vRealize Operations 8.1 (78813) - Please assist?
I have installed and configured OPS Manager 8.1 with a standard license and I am having an issue generating any reports. The three vertical dots(vertical ellipsis) are grayed out due to an error on this version. The cause of the error: "This issue is caused by an improper condition set to look for all privileges instead of just the required privileges". To resolve this issue, I need a patch that to be installed. Does anyone know where I can get this patch? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated thank you.

Error during provisioning: View Composer Datastore Fault: For Datastore - datastore-9188

Hope every one is doing well. I need help; hopefully someone can provide some help.
Environment:
2K16 Servers
View Composer 7.5.2
View Connection 7.5.2
SQL Server
Link Clones
VMware Tools 10.3.10
We are getting the following error when creating a Desktop Pool and adding LCs to a current Desktop Pool.
"Error during provisioning: View Composer Datastore Fault: For Datastore - datastore-9188"
The Datastore sees all of the hosts and all of the Hosts and our ESXi Cluster see's the datastore see it as normal.
We have rebooted our SQL, View Connection, View Composer and two of the ESXi Hosts that we suspect could be contributing to the issue and are in Maintenance Mode.

Erreur attribution espace disque sur un VD
Bonjour,
Suite à un disque Virtuel (8To) sur un de nos esxi qui arrivais bientôt a saturation, nous avons augmenter l'espace de ce disque sur notre serveur de de 8 à 10To.
L'opération a commencé mais ne s'est jamais terminé (rester bloqué à environ 70%).
Nous nous retrouvons donc dans une situation ou le fichier VMDK fais bien 10To mais le serveur voit un disque présenté qui ne fais que 8 To.
Le datastore quant à lui nous indique bien une occupation de 10 To.
Si nous essayons d’augmenter le disque celui ci nous propose uniquement de l'augmenter de 600Go (ce qui correspond à la taille encore disponible sur le datastore).
Nous avons essayer de démonter le disque et le remonter sur une autre VM, il vois aussi que 8 To et ne peut être augmenter que de 600 Go également.
Savez-vous comment récupérer les 2 To manquant sur le disque virtuel?

Following a Virtual disk (8TB) on one of our esxi which was soon reaching a saturation state, we tried to increased the space of this disk on our server from 8 to 10TB.
The operation started but never ended and remain stuck around 70%.
So we find ourselves in a situation where the physical VMDK file of the server is saying that it got a size of 10TB but the server itself see a disk presented which is only 8 TB.
The datastore, on the other hand, clearly indicates an occupancy of 10 TB.
If we try to increase the disk size it only offers us to increase it by 600GB (which corresponds to the size still available on the datastore).
We tried to disconnect the disk and reconnect it on another VM, it also sees that 8 TB and can only be increased by 600 GB as well.
Do you know how to recover the missing 2 TB on the virtual disk?

What enterprise WWDC update are you most excited about?
macOS received some really great capabilities with the software update changes, supervision for User Approved devices, and full management of apps including convert to managed, removal on unenrollment, and managed app configuration. However, I think I am really excited about a smaller change for iOS to prevent the removal of specific apps or, in other terms, require certain apps to always be installed. This has been an ask for a long time and will go a long way for LOB devices guaranteeing the right apps are installed and being proactive about security rather than reactive for when a user, perhaps accidentally, removes and app.
I am interested to hear everyone's thoughts. What enterprise changes are you most looking forward to?

VMware vCenter Converter satndaloneが起動できない

ダウンロードしたのですが、インストールはできたのですが、起動ができません。起動しようとすると、
”Failed to impersonate the current user to the VMware
vCenter Converter Standalone server .Internal system error(unknown internal error)と出てしまい、次に
Enter the IP address or host name of the Converter server.とでて、IP Addressやユーザーネーム パスワードを入力する項目が出てきます。ネットワークに問題があるのでしょうか？ネットで調べたらユーザー名が漢字だと
できないとあったのですが、英字でもできませんでした。
使用パソコンはSONY のVAIOデスクトップです。無線LANルーターでWifiを使っています。
ちなみに、ノートパソコンでMicrosoftのsurfacePro4を使用しているのですが、
そちらは普通に起動できました。ネットワーク環境は同じです。

Management Server backup - Synology NAS (NFS - SMB Shares)
I have created a SMB and NFS share to contain the Vcenter Management server backup and i cannot connect to the share via the Management interface. The interface give the error "Access to the backup server is denied - Check your credentials" .
Both shares have been tested, as i can connected to each of them via NFS and SMB by mouting them on a linux machine with the following commands
#SMB Share
//IP Address/backup /mnt/backup cifs vers=2.0,username=admin,password=adminpaassword,uid=1024,gid=100,iocharset=utf8,rw
OR
#NFS Shares
IP address:/volume1/backup /mnt/backup nfs rsize=8192,wsize=8192,timeo=14,intr
I am also able to connect to these shares via Windows.
Can someone let me know of how i can fix this? ans also the filename and location of the log that records theses attempts. maybe there is more info there.

Vcenter's VM is not coming up after primary server went down!!!!!
Hello Masters,
Please, i am new to VmwareESXI, having some doubts and questions.
here is below list of the equipement i have:-
Two Servers installed ESXI 6.7
Dell Storage connected to ESXI through Fiber Channel.
Primary Server MGMT IP:-172.22.1.27
Secondary Server MGMT IP:-172.22.1.29
Now, I install VCenter, during the installation it ask me to enter ESXI host ip address i.e. primary server and I selected the Dell storage Volume.
Vcentre installation has been done successfully, I am able to access it, I able to create host cluster and database cluster. no any error everything is perfect.
Now the issue is:- I removed MGMT cable from the Primary server then i am unable to access the vcentre, While i should be access from the secondary server but it not working.
any guess where am i wrong? what should i do?
I would be really grateful if you could help me to figure it out.

Folder redirection for application settings
Hi Team,
We have an application where the settings will get saved C:\Program Files (x86)\<Application Name>\.
Each time when user logoff VDI, then the settings saved on the application is getting wiped off. Can we create a folder redirection for above mentioned location?
I do not want to use Writable Volumes on this regard. Is there any possibility on this regard?
I see a folder of my application in %localappdata%\<Application Name>\ , however no files / folders in it.
Also, I want to see if I can do folder redirection for the location, C:\ProgramData\<Application Name>\
Appreciate your help on this.

Fusion Pro 11.5 Windows guest can't open Mac applications
I have Fusion Pro running a Windows 10 guest on my Mac (Catalina), and I'm not able to get my files on the Windows vm to open in any Mac applications. The options are showing up there to open files in the Mac programs, but it just sits there and does nothing when I try to open it. I have no problem going the other direction (opening files on the Mac in Windows programs). Strangely enough, I tried clicking a website link in Outlook in Windows, and it came up with a box that allowed me to select the option of the default host application, and it then opened in Safari as it should. But after that, links stopped working and that box never came up again. Wondering what I can try to get this working.

Datastore mapping to vm from RVtool report
Hi All,
I can see the datastore usage in the vDatastore tab, but my problem is how to identify which VM is mapped to that datastore and how much capacity have they used from the allocated
I am trying to map, datastore to Host and host to VM, than VM to drive/filesystem and from there i can get the actual usage. But, As One datastore can be mapped to multiple host
so, it becomes very tough to understand which VM from which host is consuming data from which datastore.

Hello,
for the past few months i have been trying to figure out a solution for this problem and i really hav high hopes in this thread!
Here's the problem:-
Every time i try powering on my virtual machine it says
" Unable to open kernel device "\\.\VMCIDev\VMX": Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. Did you reboot after installing VMware Player?
Module DevicePowerOn power on failed. "
I have tried to to edit the .vmx file and replace the TRUE with FALSE next to vmci0.present and i have also tried deleting the file
PLEASE i need help really badly. Specially from the experts.
And if u think that my system doesn't support hardware virtualisation, then that's not the case because i hav previously installed the virtual machine before but i had to remove it for a few reasons! :'(
i also have another problem. i've installed vmware workstation on my external hard drive, so whenever i try to re-install or repair or uninstall my software it can't. it says that the "MSI" failed to install.

Preparing of Migration to 6.5 U2
Hello Experts ,
I have some questions about our Migration from 5.5 to 6.5 .we will replace our virtuel datacenter equipements with new ones .
our Vcenter 5.5 is in our old domain x.local and the new one will be in our new domain y.com.
our ESXi 5.5 are not joined to the Domain .the authentication is locally and they use the DNS of our old domain x.local
before migrating to 6.5 with new Domain y.com , i would migrate our Vcenter 5.5 from x.local to y.com
Could you tel me the steps please ? i'm afraid if there will an impact to our VMS
