i have a PE 2950 with ESXi 5.1 and sbs 2003 installed. It has random network disconnection issues. At least once per day, for maybe 2 to 10 minutes. Seems to vary. A month ago I noticed an error logged in vshpere about the physical nic being down. I added a new 2 port nic and moved all traffic(and cables) to the new nic. The problem continues, and there is no error logged in vshphere. There has never been an error logged in sbs 2003 about these problems. Is there any other testing/monitoring I can look into to find the root of this problem? Or any ideas where this may be coming from?
